GOP Leader keeps defending unconstitutional spying



The GOP Circles the Wagons
Republican Homeland Security Chair attacks Obama for not defending the unconstitutional NSA spying hard enough.



The Eternal Question  -  Does the "small government" Republican Party actually believe in anything?

It was only days ago that the GOP majority and GOP House Leadership worked with Nancy Pelosi and Comrade Obama to crush a revolt by House members wanting to protect the Bill of Rights.


But the GOP Elite Establishment can't stop themselves from pounding on any possible opposition to the unconstitutional NSA spy programs.

Now Republican Rep. Michael McCaul of Texas went on TV to criticize Barack Obama for inadequately explaining the National Security Agency's (NSA) surveillance program to the American people.

Obama has failed to explain the value of the NSA programs that capture virtually all electronic communications between Americans, but are intended only to spy on terrorists, McCaul said Sunday during an appearance on NBC's "Meet The Press."

"He has not adequately explained them or defended them, and now he's in a bit of a mess," said McCaul, who chairs the House Homeland Security Committee.

During a time when people don't trust the administration with their tax records, they don't trust them with their phone records either, McCaul said.
