WWE's "Kane" for US Senate? - Kane speaks to the Liberty Political Action Committee

A Conservative-Libertarian Wrestler
Kane was considering challenging Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) in the
2014 primaries, he appeared to rule that idea out in his LPAC speech.

I'll proudly admit that I have been a lifelong fan of professional wrestling.  The drama, the athleticism, the sneaky backstabbing . . . this is real life on steroids.

So combine politics and wrestling and I am in heaven.

Pro-wrestler Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane, slammed the TSA in a recent speech before the Liberty Political Action Committee (LPAC), stating that the idea the government agency protects the nation is a complete joke.

Pro-wrestling and politics don’t often mix, but when they do it tends to get interesting, as Jesse Ventura will attest to. Jacobs pinned his Libertarian leanings to the mast some years ago, declaring his support for former Congressman Ron Paul. But recently, Jacobs has become more vocal concerning fierce protection of liberty from big government.

“Since I just flew in last night and it’s fresh on my mind, I thought that I would start with the TSA,” Jacobs told the group in a keynote speech from September that appeared on the LPAC website this weekend reports Infowars News.

Pro Wrestler Kane as an 'Austrian Economist'

WWE Wrestler Kane.
A 7 foot tall, 323 pound libertarian supporter of Ron Paul (R - Texas).  Kane has won 18 total championships during his WWE career.
.r.
Kane is a member of the Free State Project, and spoke at the organization's 2009 New Hampshire Liberty Forum. He has also spoken at the Ludwig von Mises Institute.  Kane has said that Harry Browne, Ron Paul, John Stossel, Peter Schiff, and Murray Rothbard as his political influences, and stated he is "theoretically a Rothbardian", but does not believe that a stateless society will be achieved in his lifetime.

“TSA is such low hanging fruit, I mean, anybody can bash the TSA.” Jacobs added, before launching into several of his own personal experiences at the hands of America’s Blue goon squad.

“I could talk about the time I tried to give a TSA agent a pocket constitution from the Young Americans for Liberty. He had to ask permission from his supervisor to accept it, despite the fact that as a federal agent, he’s sworn to uphold the thing,” Jacobs said.

“They always tell you to start your speech with a joke, and the idea that the TSA actually upholds the constitution, that’s the best joke I could possibly do, right?”

“In Australia, I bought a balsa wood toy boomerang as a souvenir,” Jacob said, referring to another incident.

“As I’m going back through security at [Los Angeles International Airport], I was informed that could not bring my balsa wood toy boomerang back on the plane because it was a weapon. So let me get this straight, they sell weapons at the Melbourne Australia Airport?”

Jacobs also spoke at length about Austrian economics and his research regarding the proposed internet sales tax, which he described as an unbelievable threat to freedom and personal privacy.

While Jacobs hinted earlier in the year that he was considering challenging Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) in the 2014 primaries, he appeared to rule that idea out in his LPAC speech, noting “I am not going to do that… I like hanging out at places like this way too much.”

“I like to show people that at least there is a ‘red pill’.” Jacobs noted, after saying that for him discovering Austrian economics was like waking from a Matrix style sleep and going very deep down a rabbit hole.

“There is an alternative,” Jacobs said, adding “lately I have found that more and more people are being attracted to the message of liberty.”

October was a good month for The Federalist

Obamacare has been good for Blogging

By Gary;

Comrade Obama and his merry band of Marxist thugs have been a curse on the United States but a boon to us Bloggers.

Everyday there is some brand new Leninist horror being foisted on the American people . . . sometimes there are so many news stories in one day that no one but Drudge can begin to give them the coverage they need.

But one wonders in the dead of night if there is anyone left out there who cares.  Is the Republic dead?  Is all we are seeing is the twitching of a still warm corpse?

In any case, October was a good month for THE FEDERALIST with an upward surge to 47,798 page views.  Plus we are closing in on the magic one million page view mark.

Bit by bit this Blog has grown.  We started in May, 2011 with a "massive" 834 page views for the month.  (Frankly, I was shocked that it was even that high.)  But the growth in viewership was rapid from the start reaching 5,532 the next month in June and shot up to 11,823 for the month of October.
.
Monthly readership has kept growing and growing peaking at 71,021 for the election month of November, 2012.
.
All of us Bloggers dream late at night about being Matt Drudge. Deep down we know that will never happen. But it has been gratifying that readers keep coming back.
.
Still, Bloggers must be doing something right. Governments all over the world are scared shitless that we even exist. Scared to the point that Bloggers are arrested and their sites blocked.
.
In my own way I try to share stories with you from a Constitutional Federalist point of view that is often ignored by the Elite Media.  A point of view that has nearly vanished in a modern Socialistic Big Brother world.
.
So here we are over 2,219 posted news stories later.  Thank you all for coming by this Blog.  Keep the flame of Liberty burning.  See you down the Internet road.
