Another Billionaire for Poverty . . . Your Poverty.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said Sunday that U.S. immigration reform is “one of the biggest civil rights issues of our time.”
Shit. Now illegal and legal immigration is a fucking "Civil Right".
The 29-year-old billionaire, who has recently taken a more active role in calling for immigration reform, made the comment on ABC’s “This Week.” And he was immediately challenged by the interviewer, who suggested many Americans would likely disagree that providing a path to citizenship for some of the 11 million people living in this country illegally is a civil rights issue.
“There are a lot of misconceptions about that,” Zuckerberg responded. “A lot of them came here because they just want to work. They want to help out their families and they want to contribute,” reports Fox News.
Zuckerberg recently founded the group FWD.us with other Silicon Valley leaders “to promote policies to keep the United States and its citizens competitive in a global economy,” according to its website.
FWD.us’ key points include securing borders, the path to citizenship and support for issuing more H-1B visas.
The group argues the change will “attract the world’s best and the brightest workers.”
However, skeptics argue that allowing U.S. employers to "temporarily" hire more educated foreign workers for skilled jobs or “specialty occupations” in such fields as technology and engineering allows companies like Facebook to hire lower-paid immigrants over college-educated Americans.
Americans Need Jobs Billionaire assholes like Zuckerberg want to import and legalize countless millions of new workers from foreign nations to compete with Americans for a limited number of jobs and drive wages down. . Both political parties join with Zuckerberg in this madness. The Democrats in order to recruit new poor voters and the GOP to serve their Masters in the business community looking for cheap labor. Both parties could care less about the under and unemployed American citizen.
Real Unemployment is 23% The seasonally-adjusted SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate (the blue line) reflects current unemployment reporting methodology adjusted for SGS-estimated long-term discouraged workers, who were defined out of official existence in 1994. That estimate is added to the BLS estimate of U-6 unemployment, which includes short-term discouraged workers. .
The U-3 unemployment rate is the monthly headline number. The U-6 unemployment rate is the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ (BLS) broadest unemployment measure, including short-term discouraged and other marginally-attached workers as well as those forced to work part-time because they cannot find full-time employment.

I'll proudly admit that I have been a lifelong fan of professional wrestling. The drama, the athleticism, the sneaky backstabbing . . . this is real life on steroids.
So combine politics and wrestling and I am in heaven.
Pro-wrestler Glenn Jacobs, aka Kane, slammed the TSA in a recent speech before the Liberty Political Action Committee (LPAC), stating that the idea the government agency protects the nation is a complete joke.
Pro-wrestling and politics don’t often mix, but when they do it tends to get interesting, as Jesse Ventura will attest to. Jacobs pinned his Libertarian leanings to the mast some years ago, declaring his support for former Congressman Ron Paul. But recently, Jacobs has become more vocal concerning fierce protection of liberty from big government.
“Since I just flew in last night and it’s fresh on my mind, I thought that I would start with the TSA,” Jacobs told the group in a keynote speech from September that appeared on the LPAC website this weekend reports Infowars News.

Kane has said that Harry Browne, Ron Paul, John Stossel, Peter Schiff, and Murray Rothbard as his political influences, and stated he is "theoretically a Rothbardian", but does not believe that a stateless society will be achieved in his lifetime.
“TSA is such low hanging fruit, I mean, anybody can bash the TSA.” Jacobs added, before launching into several of his own personal experiences at the hands of America’s Blue goon squad.
“I could talk about the time I tried to give a TSA agent a pocket constitution from the Young Americans for Liberty. He had to ask permission from his supervisor to accept it, despite the fact that as a federal agent, he’s sworn to uphold the thing,” Jacobs said.
“They always tell you to start your speech with a joke, and the idea that the TSA actually upholds the constitution, that’s the best joke I could possibly do, right?”
“In Australia, I bought a balsa wood toy boomerang as a souvenir,” Jacob said, referring to another incident.
“As I’m going back through security at [Los Angeles International Airport], I was informed that could not bring my balsa wood toy boomerang back on the plane because it was a weapon. So let me get this straight, they sell weapons at the Melbourne Australia Airport?”
Jacobs also spoke at length about Austrian economics and his research regarding the proposed internet sales tax, which he described as an unbelievable threat to freedom and personal privacy.
While Jacobs hinted earlier in the year that he was considering challenging Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-Tenn.) in the 2014 primaries, he appeared to rule that idea out in his LPAC speech, noting “I am not going to do that… I like hanging out at places like this way too much.”
“I like to show people that at least there is a ‘red pill’.” Jacobs noted, after saying that for him discovering Austrian economics was like waking from a Matrix style sleep and going very deep down a rabbit hole.
“There is an alternative,” Jacobs said, adding “lately I have found that more and more people are being attracted to the message of liberty.”

By Gary;
First it was illegal immigration. Now it is Edward Snowden. I am done with Marco Rubio and "Conservatives" like him.
Marco, just shut the fuck up and run for re-election in Florida. Your days of running for President are over for me and most other lovers of the Constitution.
I have had it up to here with these damn Statist Republicans who worship the growth of an unconstitutional 1984 centralized Police State.
On this Blog I have published over 400 news stories on the Police State and 1984 (see story label column on the upper right of this Blog). But bastards like Rubio call me a conspiracy nut for daring to tell the truth. Well, fuck you Marco and you can shove this reply where the sun does not shine.
Both Democrats and Republicans have taken an oath to defend the Constitution, but neither party really gives a damn.
But it gets worse, both parties vote together as a block to fully fund the ever growing Big Brother domestic spy system. They say, "Give us your Liberty and we will protect you."
Marco Rubio had his chance to shine, but he made a decision to cast his lot with Comrade Obama, Eric Holder and the corrupt bi-partisan Ruling Elite of Washington D.C. rather than with the People and Constitutional Liberty.
Marco, it was nice while it lasted. Goodbye.
Unconstitutional Spying Isn't it interesting how huge numbers of so-called "small government" Conservatives lock arm-in-arm with Comrade Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid to piss on the Bill of Rights on live TV and protect and fund the bi-partisan 1984 Surveillance Police State.

"I don't want to live in a city that is testing this giant surveillance system, because I believe it is going to be used to criminalize normal existence."
Oakland Resident at City Council Meeting
1984 is Here - Democrat, Republican, liberal, conservative. It does not matter. The Ruling Elites of both political parties have joined arm-in-arm to fund and build an unconstitutional and nationwide 1984 Surveillance State spy system.
When the local people dare to protest against their Masters they are slapped down and mocked as "crazy fringe loons" who don't understand what Big Brother is trying to do for them.
Oakland's City Council voted to move ahead with controversial city surveillance center during a raucous council meeting Tuesday morning that only ended when the police cleared out the chambers.
The council voted 6-1 to approve an incremental resolution allowing the city to hire a new contractor to assemble the Domain Awareness Center, a surveillance hub that would allow police and city officials to continuously monitor video cameras, gunshot detectors and license-plate readers across the city.
Dozens of Oakland residents, deeply worried the center would allow the city to spy on people's everyday lives, tried to turn the resolution into a referendum on surveillance and persuade council members to stall, or scrap, the process reports the San Francisco Chronicle.
"Nobody in Oakland wants to be monitored 24/7," said Oakland permaculture designer Ryan Rising, 25. "I see it as a pilot program for other cities to build their own surveillance centers."
But the effort didn't seem to change many minds, even as members of the council struggled to discuss the issue over deafening chants of protesters demanding the council delay a decision: "Table it! Table it! Table it!"
"I call to question," Council President Pat Kernighan yelled at her colleagues over the din, indicating it was time to vote. "Can you guys hear me? I call to question!"
Six members of the council approved the resolution in a voice vote. Councilwoman Lynette Gibson McElhaney voted against the resolution, saying later that she had too many unanswered questions about the process of completing the center. Councilman Larry Reid was absent. As forceful chants of "Shame! Shame! Shame!" broke out after the vote, Kernighan asked police to empty the chamber.
At issue is the domain center, a proposed city and port project to link dozens of traffic and surveillance cameras with police and fire dispatch systems, Twitter feeds, crime maps, gunshot-detecting microphones and alarm programs.
City officials say the center, which will eventually cost $10.9 million in federal grants, would allow authorities to improve their response to crime, terrorism, earthquakes, fires or hazardous materials incidents.
Once it is operational in July 2014, the center on Martin Luther King Jr. Way will be monitored 24 hours a day by a police officer, a police analyst and a person from the Port of Oakland.
City officials claimed the center would mostly be used during emergencies (Bullshit) like earthquakes, fires, protests and tsunamis, but many residents were skeptical.
"I don't want to live in a city that is testing this giant surveillance system, because I believe it is going to be used to criminalize normal existence," said Magdalena Kazmierczak, 24, who lives in West Oakland.

It does not matter which moronic party controls Congress or the White House. Both parties have worked together and voted to spend nearly $9 Trillion (with a T) of military spending with not one single audit since 1996.
After all, an audit and honest accounting of tax dollars might slow down the wholesale theft of cash that weakens our defense efforts.
(Reuters) - Because of its persistent inability to tally its accounts, the Pentagon is the only federal agency that has not complied with a law that requires annual audits of all government departments. That means that the $8.5 trillion in taxpayer money doled out by Congress to the Pentagon since 1996, the first year it was supposed to be audited, has never been accounted for.
That sum exceeds the value of China's economic output last year.
At the DFAS offices that handle accounting for the Army, Navy, Air Force and other defense agencies, fudging the accounts with false entries is standard operating procedure, Reuters has found. And plugging isn't confined to DFAS (pronounced DEE-fass). Former military service officials say record-keeping at the operational level throughout the services is rife with made-up numbers to cover lost or missing information.
A review of multiple reports from oversight agencies in recent years shows that the Pentagon also has systematically ignored warnings about its accounting practices. "These types of adjustments, made without supporting documentation … can mask much larger problems in the original accounting data," the Government Accountability Office, the investigative arm of Congress, said in a December 2011 report.
Plugs also are symptomatic of one very large problem: the Pentagon's chronic failure to keep track of its money - how much it has, how much it pays out and how much is wasted or stolen.
In its investigation, Reuters has found that the Pentagon is largely incapable of keeping track of its vast stores of weapons, ammunition and other supplies; thus it continues to spend money on new supplies it doesn't need and on storing others long out of date.
It has amassed a backlog of more than half a trillion dollars in unaudited contracts with outside vendors; how much of that money paid for actual goods and services delivered isn't known. And it repeatedly falls prey to fraud and theft that can go undiscovered for years, often eventually detected by external law enforcement agencies.
USS Gerald Ford - $13 Billion in Scrap Metal Proper audits might stop the flow of cold hard cash into insane boondoggle spending projects. For example, the price tag for the USS Gerald Ford is now at $13 billion, it is 22% over budget with three more years to go before it is finished. . To compare, the navy of India just took delivery of INS Vikramaditya aircraft carrier for a cost of $2.35 billion.
"We annually spend on military security more than the net income of all United States corporations. . This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence -- economic, political, even spiritual -- is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society. . . In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist. . . We must never let the weight of this combination endanger our liberties or democratic processes. We should take nothing for granted. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense with our peaceful methods and goals, so that security and liberty may prosper together." . Obamacare could create an armed “secret security force”.
During an appearance on the Janet Mefferd Show, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) warned that a provision within Obamacare could create an armed “secret security force”.
Referring to a section of the gargantuan Obamacare law which discusses “the president’s own commissioned and non-commissioned officer corps,” Gohmert drew attention to the notion that under the pretext of a “national emergency,” such individuals could be used to impose some form of medical martial law reports Infowars News.
Under the Affordable Care Act, the Ready Reserve Corps is directed to “assist full-time Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.”
“It says it is for international health crises, but then it doesn’t include the word ‘health’ when it talks about national emergencies,” said Gohmert.
“I’ve asked, what kind of training are they getting….I want to know are they using weapons to train, or are they being taught to use syringes and health care items?” asked the Congressman, adding that “no clear answers” had been forthcoming on the issue.”
Accusing the Department of Homeland Security of being wasteful, Gohmert said the DHS’ commitment to purchase over 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition was concerning because many of the bullets are hollow point rounds which are not traditionally used for target practice.
“I’ve asked Homeland Security what is the reason for that,” said Gohmert, adding that their response “made no sense” but that he would continue to push for an explanation in Congress.
“Some kind of secret security force is something the United States is never supposed to have….but until we get enough members of Congress stirred up over the things I’ve been preaching about then we’re not likely to get answers,” said Gohmert, adding that the only way to get the DHS to properly respond would be to start cutting funding.

Mark your calendar. The GOP actually did something.
By Gary;
It warms the cockles of my heart to see the Socialist Democrats get fucked on live TV.
It was a thing of beauty, and a wonder to behold, to watch 39 scumbag Democrats jump from the Obamacare ship and vote with the GOP to extend insurance policies.
And I just love the name of the bill - Keep Your Health Plan Act.
The House passed the bill, 261 to 157. The DNA basic instinct to save your own skin first is as old as the caveman, and Democrats are scared shitless. For some strange reason four Republicans voted against the bill.
A Warning - Keep in mind that we are dealing with the big government loving Republicans here. It appears that the bill by GOP Rep. Fred Upton would allow insurers to sell their plans that were active as of January 2013 into 2014.
So the GOP had the Democrats by the short and curlies and all the bill did was push enforcement back by only one year???? Why not a bill to permanently give Americans the right to buy the insurance of their choice forever and ever?
To me this would have been the perfect opportunity (a teachable moment) to stand up for private enterprise and the right of the people to purchase, or not purchase, the product of their choice.
Maybe there is a good reason for only going for one year, but I can't see it.
Comrade Obama is threatening a veto. He may think the Upton bill will get passed through a Democrat Senate in panic of losing seats and on to his desk.
Today we celebrate a small victory. . . . but like Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger, the horror of Socialism just won't die. It keeps coming back like a bad movie sequel. The battle goes on.
Eleven U.S. House Republicans have drafted articles of impeachment against Attorney General Eric Holder, an action one lawmaker said wasn't done lightly.
The lawmakers plan to formally introduce their charges against Holder Thursday, Roll Call reported..The charges include the Justice Department's refusal to turn over documents on the failed gun-running Operation Fast and Furious, a refusal to uphold certain laws -- specifically the Defense of Marriage Act -- and a refusal to prosecute IRS officials who accessed tax records of political donors and candidates without authorization.
Rep. Pete Olson
The articles of impeachment also charge that Holder lied to Congress reports UPI News. Rep. Pete Olson, R-Texas, said the decision wasn't taken lightly. "Since the House voted in 2012 to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt, the pattern of disregard for the rule of law and refusal to be forthright has continued," Olson said in a statement to Roll Call. "The American people deserve answers and accountability. If the attorney general refuses to provide answers, then Congress must take action."
Olson told Roll Call that he would release the four articles of impeachment Thursday. On Wednesday, he released a document detailing the impeachment claims against Holder.
Article I claims Holder "engaged in a pattern of conduct incompatible with the trust and confidence placed in him" by refusing to comply with a subpoena issued by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for documents related to Operation Fast and Furious, which tracked guns crossing the U.S-Mexican border for use by drug cartels. One of the guns was used in the death of U.S. Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in December 2010.
Article II of the proceedings charges Holder violated his oath by refusing to enforce certain laws the Obama administration determined it would not enforce, including the Defense of Marriage Act, which the administration deemed unconstitutional.
Article III charges Holder violated his oath by "refusing to prosecute individuals involved in the Internal Revenue Service scandal of unauthorized disclosure of tax records belonging to political donors."
The last article accuses Holder of providing "false testimony to the House Judiciary Committee" concerning possible prosecution of Fox News reporter James Rosen under the Espionage Act. . Ten other Republicans are cosponsoring the articles of impeachment, Roll Call said. They are Phil Roe of Tennessee, Ted Yoho of Florida, Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia, Larry Bucshon of Indiana, Michele Bachmann of Minnesota, and Blake Farenthold, Randy Weber, Roger Williams, Bill Flores and Louie Gohmert, all of Texas.
Fully funded by the Democrat Senate and the GOP House, the DHS is building a domestic 1984 Police Surveillance State network to spy on every American 24 hours a day without a search warrant.
Liberals pretend to be for the "little guy" while Conservatives pretend to be for "small government". But both sides are frightened to death of a free American people.
(UPDATE - Following a privacy outcry concerning a wi-fi “mesh network” being installed, the Seattle Police Department announced last night that it is temporarily deactivating the network.)
Police State - The Seattle Police have installed a network of 160 wireless "white box" access points that are mounted on poles across the city. Every time a cell phone or other device looks for a Wi-Fi signal the white box recognizes it and stores that data for future use. The network can record the last 1,000 locations of a person using their cellphone’s MAC address.
The network was bought with a Department of Homeland Security grant for $2.6 million reports KIRO 7 TV News.
This is a system that could lead to the permanent tracking of an entire city’s population.
"They now own a piece of equipment that has tracking capabilities so we think that they should be going to City Council and presenting a protocol for the whole network that says they won't be using it for surveillance purposes," said Jamela Debelak of the American Civil Liberties Union.
"We believe that people should be free to move about without having the government track their movements unless there really is reason to believe they're engaged in some criminal activity," said Debelak. Seattle police could not explain why the network appears to be online.
A report by The Stranger, a weekly Seattle newspaper, exposes how the boxes, which are attached to utility poles and include vertical antennae, can track cellphones even if they are not connected to the system’s wi-fi network.
Aruba – the company that provided the boxes to the Seattle Police Department – brags in its technical literature about how the boxes can keep track of “rogue” or “unassociated” devices, in other words your cellphone even if you have refused to let the system access your device’s wi-fi component.
The user’s guide for one of Aruba’s recent software products states: “The wireless network has a wealth of information about unassociated and associated devices.” That software includes “a location engine that calculates associated and unassociated device location every 30 seconds by default… The last 1,000 historical locations are stored for each MAC address.”
When reporters Matt Fikse-Verkerk and Brendan Kiley asked the Seattle Police Department and the Department of Homeland Security to explain what the boxes were for, the DHS refused to comment and Seattle Police detective Monty Moss would only state that the department “is not comfortable answering policy questions when we do not yet have a policy.”
'The Obama regime is very good at controlling the media and propaganda'
In a wide ranging interview with RT News, actor Steven Segal speaks about martial arts, Putin, terrorism, his close friendship with Libertarian-Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher of California and supporting Republican politics.
He speaks fondly of Vladimir Putin as one of the great leaders of the world and how the US and Russian should be friends and allies against terrorism.
Seagal says basically the media are propaganda masters for Obama, we’re not getting the truth.
Seagal says CNN is "bought and paid for" by the Obama regime. . . . and he goes out of his way to use the word regime.
He also defends gun rights, the Second Amendment and the right to bear arms to protect against evil governments.
He also suggests that some of the mass shootings are engineered. “Armed guards are in stores” Seagal said, “Why can we not protect our children[in schools]?”. He went on to say the issue is really one of mental health and parenting. He notes that Japan has some of the most violent movies, yet doesn’t have the issue of violence.
A Must Watch!!! - Listen to the entire interview.
Criticism of Obama starts around6:00 minute mark.

It is a shame that we have to go to the foreign media and the Internet for so much information that matters. On US TV we are subjected to meaningless 22 second sound bites or short, phony "interviews" where each side simply regurgitates the talking points of their party.

The sweeping re-election of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie proves moderates are an integral part of the Republican Party, Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky says.
"There's room in the Republican Party for moderates, like Chris Christie. They seem to be the only ones that are winning in the Northeast," Paul told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"The other thing that might happen in the Northeast, if we had a little more libertarian-leaning Republicans, they would have a chance in the Northeast," Paul said Wednesday reports Newsmax. "But there's room for moderates, like Chris Christie, and he's got a place in the party."
But conservatives are still the driving force of the GOP, Paul says.
"Conservatives are a much bigger force than the moderates, but it doesn't mean that we want to exclude moderates from our party," he said.
Still, with a nod to Christie, Paul said moderate Republicans will have a tougher time getting the Republican nomination for president.
"The road to the nomination for a moderate is actually pretty difficult because a lot of the Republican primaries are very conservative," he said.
"And so, someone who's most well-known for grabbing up federal money as much as they can get, probably that kind of attitude may or may not go off so well in a Republican primary."
Paul says the Republican Party let down Ken Cuccinelli, the GOP candidate for governor of Virginia, who narrowly lost to Democrat Terry McAuliffe.
"Some of the establishment let us down in that race. If you look back to the race when [Bob] McDonnell won four years ago, the establishment put a lot more money in for McDonnell than they did for Cuccinelli," he said.
"Cuccinelli could have won if everybody had stuck with him . . . He got very darn close, people were coming his way. He just didn't have any money in the end.
The GOP right-wing is delusional as they try and explain
away their loss in the Virginia Governor's race to pro-Obamacare candidates.
A 2014 Wake-up Call - The GOP is in serious danger. The Right miscalculated that Obamacare would magically win elections for them. So the Virginia GOP nominated strong cultural Conservative candidates that did not play well with the voters.
With the election of a Democratic governor, Terry McAuliffe, Republicans have lost seven of the past eight statewide, top-of-the-ballot races, including those for Governor, Senator and President reports the New York Times.
Republican Ken Cuccinelli was far behind in 29 polls in a row. The voters were never happy with the GOP nominee.
But yesterday Rush Limbaugh and other right-wingers ignored the culture issue and were trying to spin the defeat in Virginia as the fault of those "evil" establishment Republicans. Never mind that the Republican Governor's Association alone poured nearly $8 million into the race. But it is traditional to blame the other guy for your troubles.
Sorry, but Rush's thinking is delusional. At the peak of Obamacare madness on every news show the GOP took it in the shorts based on the candidates the party nominated. No more, no less.
Did Rush and company think the socialist Democrats were just going to roll over in fear of an Obamacare voter reaction? No it does not work that way. The Commies fundraised like crazy and campaigned viciously against the GOP candidates.
The GOP candidate for Governor went down by about 2.5 points and the candidate for Lt. Governor went down by almost 11 points. . . . both were defeated by pro-Obamacare candidates.
But of interest is the race for Attorney General where not that much money was spent. The race was a tie (see below) and again there was not an anti-Obamacare reaction by the voters that the Tea Party Conservatives hoped for.
A 2014 Wakeup call Pro-Obamacare candidates ran strongly in statewide Virginia races.
Recount in the Virginia Attorney's General's Race
Down ticket voting where not as much money is spent helps show what the people are thinking. With all the anti-Obamacare, anti-Democrat healthcare news the voters split 50-50. That split should be a wakeup call to the GOP.

The Virginia attorney general’s race is headed for a recount, and the deadlocked contest is likely to be all but frozen in place until Nov. 25, the earliest date when a new tally can be formally requested, state election officials said Wednesday.
As of noon Wednesday, with 100 percent of precincts reporting, state Sen. Mark D. Obenshain (R-Harrisonburg) was clinging to a 481-vote lead over state Sen. Mark Herring (D-Loudoun), with 2.2 million ballots cast, according to unofficial figures from the Virginia State Board of Elections.
Local election boards on Wednesday will begin examining “provisional” ballots — cast by voters who did not present legally acceptable ID or who may have come to the wrong polling place Tuesday. The boards must finish certifying their counts by Nov. 12 reports the Washington Post.
The State Board of Elections is scheduled to certify the entire count Nov. 25. Only then can the trailing candidate ask for a recount, according to board spokeswoman Nikki Sheridan.
A Republican Collapse RepublicanEarl Walker Jackson, Sr. (above) lost the Virginia Lt. Governor's race in an almost 11 point landslide. Jackson is a good man and a patriot, but facts is facts. When given the opportunity to support an anti-Obamacare cultural Conservative the voters of Virginia went Democrat. . Ralph Northam (D) 1,208,198 55.3% E.W. Jackson (R) 975,660 44.7% . Like my Mama used to say, "It is what it is." The Rush Limbaugh talking heads can try to spin this, but here at the peak of Obamacare madness and press coverage an anti-Obamacare candidate was soundly defeated. . What message does this send for the 2014 elections?
Rush Spins a Defeat Rush got the anti-gay rights cultural Conservative and intensely anti-Obamacare candidates he wanted. The voters said no. We want the pro-Obamacare candidates. . Nimble as ever, Rush tried to pass the blame from his candidates over to the "evil" establishment GOP. The Republican for Governor alone spend over $18 million not counting spending from other pro-GOP groups. But the Democrat was the better candidate raising some $54 million.
By comparison, Republican Bob McDonnell had raised $21 million at this time in the 2009 race while Democrat Creigh Deeds had collected $16 million. (McDonnell won with 59 percent.) McAuliffe’s almost two-to-one fundraising lead translates into one very important thing: lots and lots more ads. . Los Angeles Times - Virginia Candidate Spending.
